West Side Boutique is continuing to provide clothing and personal care items to people in need – even though it remains closed due to pandemic concerns.

Dining room boutique signBoutique volunteers, while practicing social distancing, recently started distributing hats, gloves, scarfs and toiletries on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the soup kitchen dining area.

“With larger items, such as coats, boots, blankets, sheets, and towels,” notes coordinator Nancy Robert, “a person can request these items by filling out an order form; volunteers fill the request, based on availability, and distribute to the person the following week.”

“During these difficult times,” she adds, “we are still finding creative ways to assist individuals in need.”
