Children of people coming through the soup kitchen will get an extra treat on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Santa Claus and one of his helper elves will be handing out presents from 11:30 to 12:30.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the kids won’t be able to sit on Santa’s lap. But ol’ Saint Nick will be ready to spread some “ho ho ho” cheer and hand out toys as the youngsters come through with parents getting take-out meals.

Nancy Robert, coordinator of the Boutique at Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen, notes that the toys were donated by generous people, and that boutique volunteers wrapped and bagged them.
