Employees from Lochner Engineering of Utica and several young women from Hamilton College’s Varsity Field Hockey Team “cooked, prepped and served a pancake breakfast for our patrons and some parishioners on April 6,” reports Director Ed Morgan. “Everyone had a great time and their efforts and generosity was very much appreciated!”

Lochner Engineering also donated several bags of food and drink items.

“Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen was such a fun and friendly environment,” field hockey player Cat Donahue noted in a news story on the Hamilton College website. “All the other volunteers were so welcoming, and Ed, the coordinator, took us on a tour of the non-profit space. It felt so good to be able to make a visible difference and to interact with the kitchen patrons. Overall it was a really rewarding experience and we were glad to be able to help out!”

Ed also wanted to thank “two very generous and special donors,” namely:

  • Mike & Linda Slater
  • Henry Mancini

“They have been donating food items to Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen every month for a long time. Their donations have saved us thousands of dollars.”

“Thank You and God Bless You!”
