Mother Marianne’s Boutique and Salon, primarily open on Mondays, has been busy over the past three months: Volunteers helped 941 individuals pick out clothes and personal care items, reports Coordinator Nancy Robert. They included 419 adults, 335 seniors, 187 children. They also provided haircuts for 33 individuals, plus 28 blood pressure screenings, with seven referred to healthcare providers for having elevated readings.

The boutique also:

• hosted a “Dinosaur Craft Program” for 20 children with help from Mid-York/Utica Public Library.

• provided Bombas socks and small crafts to 40 low-income campers at Camp Nazareth.

• donated socks, shoes, toiletries, and towels to the emergency relief effort for Rome residents impacted by tornado damage.

• donated toys, games, socks, and toiletries for 15 children and five adults at the Neighborhood Center.
