Utica Elks Lodge 33 wanted to do something for Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen so Elks members Roger and Kathy Kraus visited the soup kitchen to present a check for $1,000.

“I must say how impressed my wife and I were to see Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen,” Roger said after taking a tour of the operation. “We were told about it by a member of Utica Elks Lodge 33 as we were talking about prospective recipients for a grant from the Elks National Foundation. I looked at your excellent website for more information and found everything needed to apply for the grant which was quickly approved.”

He added: “Your tour of the facility and the information you provided made us certain that your organization of volunteers was a perfect match for an ENF grant. I hope that the Elks donation is of assistance to the good deeds Mother Marianne’s performs daily…”.
