With Sr. Anne McNulty, OFS, needing to step down as director for health reasons, volunteer Michael Pilat has been appointed as soup kitchen manager.
Mike is a former math teacher who found himself volunteering at the soup kitchen a month after retiring from Westmoreland High School in 2019. Mike holds a master’s degree from SUNY Cortland and had been a teacher for 36 years, spending the last 20 years of his career at Westmoreland. He is member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s Church in New York Mills.
