The Boutique at Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen is planning to reopen under pandemic guidelines. The tentative date is Wednesday, Aug. 12.

But there are some items the boutique still needs to help homeless and low-income people, Coordinator Nancy Robert says. She is appealing for donations of new men’s boxer shorts (all sizes) and jeans for men, women and children (all sizes).

She also is looking for a few more volunteers.

Contact Nancy at mail@westsidekitchen.org, or via the contact or volunteer forms on the website.

Nancy extends heartfelt gratitude to donors who have answered her prayers and provided socks, sneakers, toiletries and other clothing during the pandemic.

Initially the boutique will be open every Wednesday from 11:30 to 1 p.m., coinciding with the soup kitchen’s extended pandemic hours. Nancy says she hopes to eventually be open two days a week or more.
