With the coronavirus state of emergency, Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen will provide hot meals to go during the week and bagged lunches on weekends, Director Edward Morgan announced.
Normally the soup kitchen is packed with more than 100 people for lunch on weekdays.
“We want to continue giving people something to eat,” he said, while avoiding a large gathering in the dining hall.
The soup kitchen is prepared to feed a lot more children over the short term, too.
“We expect to be very busy with kids off from school,” Morgan said.
