Thanksgiving was extra special at Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen.
Like at a restaurant, table clothes adorned the tables, and guests were taken directly to their seats instead of standing in line. A crew of holiday volunteers served them turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
In fact, volunteers prepared and served a total of 188 dinners.
Director Ed Morgan put it this way:
“On Thanksgiving, as every day, we made everybody feel like somebody.”
